I'm finding it hard to put this series down. I picked up the newest volume, "Agatha Heterodyne and the Heirs of the Storm" by Phil Foglio, for my kids for Christmas, and then I started re-reading the whole series from the beginning to show them how it's done and drag them away from their screens. Now I've just finished volume 9! But I think the other three members of my family have started reading them too, so that's a win. This is definitely a book series review I'm happy to write. In my review ...

Any story where you can turn people different colors for a laugh is a win in my book. Plus, getting more Gil screen time is *always* a good thing, and the dynamic between Gil and Tarvek is surprisingly hilarious. If you're looking for a fun steampunk adventure, Phil Foglio's *Agatha Heterodyne and the Heirs of the Storm* delivers.

Phil Foglio's *Agatha Heterodyne and the Heirs of the Storm* is just a blast. If you're looking for a rollicking adventure, this book delivers in spades. A top-notch read for fans of steampunk and thrilling stories. This book review is a definite recommendation!

Agatha Heterodyne has her hands full, grappling with a stubborn, downright evil castle that has some *very* strange ideas about saving her and Prince Tarvek, her ailing sweetheart. Meanwhile, her other admirer, Gilgamesh Wulfenbach, finds himself barging into the castle, only to run into a couple of old 'friends' who are all hatching schemes of their own. One of those 'friends' is Prince Tarvek, because it turns out Agatha's two admirers have a history of their own, and a *lot* of issues to work...

I absolutely adore the *Girl Genius* series, but from this point onward, I think the novels become a tad too relentless with the action. Sometimes we crave a breather to allow both readers and characters a moment to catch their breath. Think of it like the fourth act of a play, where we're treated to some witty back-and-forth, or the characters simply pause for a cup of tea to regroup before all hell breaks loose in the climax. Volumes 9 through 13 are essentially all climax, all the time, and f...

I've been handing out 5-star ratings a lot lately instead of 4, which is all well and good, until you realize you actually need a 6. "Agatha Heterodyne and the Heirs of the Storm" definitely pushes the scale. This book, by Phil Foglio, just keeps delivering. If you're looking for a fantastic adventure story, this is it. A truly exceptional read!

Action! Adventure! Heroism! Science! Pirates! Minions! Come one, come all, and witness the spectacle! This series just keeps hitting new heights. Agatha, no longer just a naive and awkward figure, truly steps into her power as she embraces her control over the castle, bending those around her to her will, all while staying true to her own moral code. It's a tough balancing act, trying to mix mercy with justice when you're practically itching to throttle your enemies. And it's even tougher when y...

It ends on a cliffhanger, but that's just par for the course with this series.
