My House of Horrors
Synopsis
Imagine renting a room and discovering your new place comes with…unwanted roommates. In *My House of Horrors*, Chen Ge finds himself in exactly that predicament. It starts subtly: a hearse with a peculiar scent lingering outside, unsettling noises echoing through the building at all hours. But soon, pebbles rain down from the ceiling, phantom footsteps echo in the corridors, and the unsettling sound of sawing pierces the silence next door. Even the simplest things turn sinister—a dripping faucet that refuses to be silenced, a child's rubber ball rolling mysteriously beneath the bed.
As the anomalies escalate, Chen Ge’s nights become a terrifying ordeal. At 3 AM, armed with only a cleaver and his wits, he cowers in his room, desperately trying to contact his landlord. When the call finally connects, his question is laced with fear and disbelief: "Is *this* what you meant by 'a little crowded at night'?"
*My House of Horrors* masterfully blends humor and horror, creating a unique atmosphere that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The story explores themes of urban isolation, the fear of the unknown, and the lengths one will go to protect themselves when faced with the inexplicable. If you enjoy stories with a healthy dose of suspense, dark humor, and a protagonist who's clearly in over his head, then you might want to check in, if you dare, to *My House of Horrors*. Just be prepared for a few sleepless nights.
