love the name!

Last day of holidays so I got to burn through some books. Well, graphic novels for my kids that they got, but that I too enjoy.

Nate did not disappoint, although I did want more of the gerbil than the few panels we got. The gerbil had the best lines in the last edition.

Not much to say other than that if you have read any of these, you're not going to be disappointed but don't expect the characters to have changed much or for Nate to suddenly age ....

It's hard to dislike a character as witty and full of lighthearted self-aggrandizement as Nate and a strip as full of fun and smart supporting castmembers. That said, it's been years since I've read Big Nate, and not much of anything has changed in that time; Nate has been a middle schooler since 1991 (and will be forever?). Full disclosure: I request the Big Nate titles from Netgalley because my 11 year-old really enjoys them. To me, they're inoffensive in the same vein as the classic Snoopy comic books.
