This was a refreshing world to sink into with a cup of coffee in the morning. The characters are charming. The story remains smooth and interesting the whole way through.

I first came across this on Wattpad.com, a writing website. Being a die-hard fan of historical fiction, especially works set during Celtic or Roman history, I was pretty excited to read it. I was able to read a preview of this book while it was in the final stages of production, and I gotta say, I absolutely loved it!

I'm a picky reader in general, especially when it comes to historic fiction. But Mrs. McKeithen certainly did her research, and the Classical Era was skillfully-depicted. The characters, too, were well-rounded and likeable, and the setting descriptions were just lovely.

Looking forward to reading the sequel!
