I am not an addict and I have no experience of being close to anyone who is, but I think this book should be read by everyone regardless of personal circumstance. Tried really hard to get into this book but only got around 1/3 through it and couldn’t read any more. Each chapter just felt like he was repeating himself over and over again. I note this is clearly a big hit for readers but definitely wasn’t for me unfortunately.

In this excellent book, the author describes his own battle with addiction and how he hit bottom and rose back up again.
