An entertaining but a bit repetitive autobiography of a second generation British Skinhead.

I have never been a skinhead but have always been intrigued about this group. I have people I know who have been skinheads although they sometimes appear aloof when they knew I am Mod at heart.Spike went below the surface and gave me a view from all angles. Very much the good the bad and the ugly and was very enjoyable. I hope you weren't one of those Skins who chased me through Lilywhites in Oxford Street circa 1980 though Spike lol.Great book and loved that Spike put his heart and soul in to i...

Felt like it was the same story over and over; drink, fight, cops come and either go to jail, get off, or get away. I was hoping for something more out of this book other than a recollection of fights. I considered not continuing a few times because the material was so repetitive but I push on hoping for more and was left disappointed.

A voice that needs to be heard. The truth about a long-established British cult that has been much misinterpreted, misunderstood and maligned. Well worth a read.

I enjoyed reading this book & some of it fits pretty well with some of my early memories.
I remember from my school years the rise of the punks & the battles with the punks and the skins.
Its great to read a book that doesn't try to be something its not & I found this book entertaining & enjoyable.

This was my review - A lesson in Skinhead culture with memoir type tales that will have you smiling and thinking 'Ouch' at the same time. This story has a great balance of humour and harsh reality, and the clever ending left me with a warm fuzzy feeling that I wasn't expecting. This story is written honestly with no regrets.I recommend the read to all those around at the time and to the teenage audience of t...
