A Gripping Tale of Pernicious EvilAnthony Hulse's *Pursuit of Angels* hooked me from the start and had me wriggling and gasping at the depraved evil it uncovers. There is such a rich and diverse band of characters in this book that kept me engrossed, engaged, and guessing until the end. The characters have intriguing, even gritty, complexity. I could see the world they experienced and understand their motivations and desires. And as it should be in any crime or suspense novel, my mind was scream...

WOW!A powerfully written and gripping read that had me on the edge of my seat. I found myself gasping, even holding my breath during certain passages of Anthony Hulse's incredibly well-written novel, Pursuit of Angels. While crime thrillers aren't usually my thing, this book completely captivated me from beginning to end. If you're a fan of a good crime thriller, with unexpected twists and turns that keep you guessing, Pursuit of Angels is definitely a book you should check out. Highly recommend...

I'm sorry, but "Pursuit of Angels" just didn't click with me. The main character was a total jerk. And completely clueless – seriously, you're going to take the suspect's word that there's nothing in those shady buildings? You checked a few, that's good enough, right? Which wouldn't bug me so much if the story ever called him out on it. I get that a nasty, corrupt, incompetent creep *could* be an interesting character, but this guy Chaucer just wasn't. At least, not for me. Especially when he's ...

"Pursuit of Angels" is a chilling story about disappearing women and the two men—a disgraced detective and a former journalist—hired by the wealthy mother of one of the missing girls to find them. While the subject matter is dark, Anthony Hulse executes the story skillfully, keeping the reader hopeful that the missing women will be found and the culprit brought to justice. This book will keep you guessing until the very end. Anthony Hulse fills "Pursuit of Angels" with realistic characters and ...

Anthony Hulse's *Pursuit of Angels* is simply brilliant. Do yourself a favor and read it. When girls start disappearing, Chaucer and Elliot are brought in to investigate, leading them down a rabbit hole of possibilities. This book is packed with twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end. If you only read one mystery thriller this year, make it *Pursuit of Angels*. 5 stars plus! A must-read for fans of suspense and Anthony Hulse. (Review date: September 2, 2017)
