A native of Virginia, Riley Tune originally wanted to be an actor. His decision to be an actor would eventually lead him to wanting to learn how to read a script. Shortly after, he had the idea to try and write a screenplay of his own. That single idea, was the spark that would ignite the fire inside him that fueled hi...

This novel, "Paragon (Icons, Book 1)" by Riley Tune, starts slow but has a wild finish. I can’t stress that point enough. After a couple of chapters I almost stopped reading the book, yet by the time I finished I was very glad I stuck with it—glad enough I’m fairly certain I’ll be reading the sequel. So let me break down the good and the frustrating. On the positive side, Riley Tune has thought of a large number of superpowers and his characters often use them very well. He builds his story arou...

It's a pretty good story, but it felt a little slow-paced at times. If you are looking for a new paranormal romance book review, then you might want to check out Paragon (Icons, Book 1) by Riley Tune.

Paragon is a story about an outsider trying to find his place in a world of clear-cut heroes and villains. It hints at a superhero team with a secret so big it could change how the city – and maybe the world – sees them.At least, it *could* be that story, if Riley Tune decided to actually write the epic that's hinted at.That's the core problem with Paragon (Icons, Book 1). It reads like an outline for something much bigger. We're mostly *told* what's happening, with only glimpses of it actually ...

For some reason, I was expecting a superhero story with no depth or plot, but I'm glad that wasn't the case. So far, I've read two superhero novels that make sense: Super Powereds Year 1 and Children of the Deterrent. Well, I guess it's three now. Riley Tune's *Paragon (Icons, Book 1)* delivers a compelling superhero narrative that exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a fresh take on the genre, this is a book review you should pay attention to!

A different take on the superhero origin story and coming-of-age themes. The main character wasn't particularly likable, but Riley Tune isn't afraid to kill off characters, which makes for a promising beginning to the "Paragon (Icons, Book 1)" series. A solid start for those looking for fresh superhero book reviews.

Not bad at all. The characters and the universe they inhabit are a touch simplistic, but the writing itself feels professional. It just has a slightly dated feel, like superhero comics from four decades ago. The Icons are strictly heroes or villains, with no shades of gray. There doesn't seem to be any government oversight. The protagonist begins an internship with the world's greatest heroic team, but is immediately sent out to help the public with absolutely zero training, supervision, or suppo...

I'm already counting down the days until the next book in the series! I absolutely loved "Paragon (Icons, Book 1)" by Riley Tune. It was just awesome – totally action-packed from start to finish. Definitely a must-read if you're looking for an exciting superhero book review!

Felt juvenile. Maybe I would have enjoyed this back in high school, but now I just kept wondering why everyone was so impressed with the main character. Seriously? He's just some teenage punk with okay fighting skills, so what's the big deal? I'm not sure Paragon (Icons, Book 1) by Riley Tune is really a book for adult readers, but teen readers might enjoy it. If you're looking for young adult fantasy book reviews, this might not be the one for you.

This was a decent story, but it really needs some proofreading and editing. I'd be interested in reading more books set in this world, provided they were a bit more polished. Riley Tune's *Paragon (Icons, Book 1)* has potential, and with some further refinement, the series could really take off. Definitely one to watch for fans of fantasy book reviews!
