This is the second book I've read by Anthony Hulse, and it's just as thoroughly enjoyable as the first, *Beyond the Dunes*. Another serial killer is on the loose, one who sings nursery rhymes as his victims die and leaves a gruesome clue carved on their forehead, along with something stuffed down their throats. A team of detectives bands together to crack the case, but solid evidence is proving hard to come by. The resulting press reports about the killer's nursery rhymes prompt an ex-teacher ...

Trigger warning: seriously violent deaths! If you're into the gruesome, then "Nurtured Evil" is right up your alley. I've given it a high rating because it *is* a good book, technically speaking, but not one I particularly *enjoyed* reading. I prefer my murders a little less… harsh and descriptive. Finished "Nurtured Evil" in a single day! It was a super easy read, but totally addictive, packed with twists and turns! It definitely kept me guessing the whole time. A real page-turner by Anthony Hulse!

Brilliant, I must say. I found a review on Goodreads and bought the ebook. Best murder mystery I've read this year. Fantastic work, Anthony Hulse. "Nurtured Evil" is a must-read for fans of the genre!

Gruesome.
Nurtured Evil.
Right from the start, the pace is set for a truly gruesome read. There's at least one murderer on the loose, but probably two, in London. Some of the deaths are incredibly violent, so be warned. All the chapters are nice and short, which I really appreciate. This book, Nurtured Evil by Anthony Hulse, is better than anything James Patterson puts out. Highly, highly recommended as a top thriller!
