Okay, confession time: I hadn't heard of Jeremy Renner before picking up this book. I know, I've been living under a rock! So, *My Next Breath* was my introduction to him, and let me tell you, once I started reading (and listening!), I was completely hooked by his incredible story.
Right from the second chapter, you're there with Renner's family and friends at his Lake Tahoe home, celebrating New Year's Eve. Then, bam! In the early hours of New Year's Day 2023, while he's clearing snow with a S...

A new addition to my list of all-time favorite memoirs! If you don't already know, Jeremy Renner was in a horrific snow plow accident, and the way he was able to overcome every single obstacle just speaks volumes about who he is as a person. He's driven and inspiring, obviously on screen, but even more so in real life with everything he does to help underprivileged children and communities. I re-listened to the last chapter + epilogue of *My Next Breath* multiple times because I was both complet...

Okay, wow, the story in *My Next Breath* is absolutely wild. I highly recommend grabbing the audiobook, especially since it's narrated by Jeremy Renner himself. They even weave in the actual 911 call from the accident! It's such an inspiring story about pushing through adversity, the powerful love you have for your family, and maintaining a positive attitude when life gets incredibly tough. Seriously, I laughed, and I cried! If you're looking for inspirational book reviews, definitely check out ...

Jeremy Renner's My Next Breath is his memoir, a deep dive into the events surrounding his 2023 accident. I've always been a fan of his acting, but after reading this, my respect for him as a person has skyrocketed. The chapter covering the accident itself is intensely detailed, and the audiobook even features the actual 911 call – a truly chilling addition. The fact that he survived being run over by a 14,000-pound snowcat is mind-blowing. But to emerge from it without lasting damage to his organ...

I've always been a huge fan of Jeremy Renner; his role in *The Town* remains unforgettable for me, and now I'm an even bigger fan after reading *My Next Breath*.
His memoir, *My Next Breath*, is filled with insightful glimpses into his life, providing context to understand who he is. He uses these personal stories to explain how he survived the horrific accident he endured and how he's thriving in its aftermath. It's a powerful and inspiring read.
Renner dives into the gritty details of the ac...

Raw, heartfelt, and powerfully human from start to finish!Listening to My Next Breath: A Memoir was an emotional experience I won’t soon forget. Jeremy Renner shares his story with a kind of vulnerability that goes far beyond what I expected. This isn’t just about a terrible accident—it’s about the will to survive, the power of community, and a deep, abiding love for family.Hearing Jeremy Renner narrate his own words brings an added weight to every moment. His voice cracks at times, and the emot...

I honestly don't know why I even bothered reading this book, let alone finishing it. Jeremy Renner is just so unbelievably self-absorbed and completely detached from reality. "My Next Breath" is basically a chronicle of a man with ridiculous privilege who thinks the world should revolve around him. The entire reason he ended up in that accident was because he decided to go skiing despite being told to stay home. Then he has the nerve to spout platitudes like, with facts and determination, you ca...

This book felt incredibly repetitive and poorly written. Jeremy Renner comes across as incredibly egotistical. He essentially claims he survived the accident purely because he chose to, implying that anyone who has died in a similar tragedy simply didn't have the same will to live as him. His description of himself as the 'worst patient ever' didn't strike me as endearing at all. Overall, *My Next Breath* is basically a tale of how Renner chose to survive (because he's amazing, apparently) and h...

You know, I really wanted to love *My Next Breath*. And I'm genuinely glad Jeremy Renner is doing okay. But honestly, he comes across as a bit of a narcissist. He's got this preachy tone, like he's handing down profound wisdom to us mere mortals. It's all "Me - Me - Me!" Sure, there are other people (family, friends) in his life. But they mostly seem to exist as planets revolving around his personal sun. So it's all "Me, Me, Me, and how my loved ones were affected by *Me*." If you're looking for ...
