Loved this book. This book is vivid and very memorable. It precedes Silence of the Lambs, (another great read). A movie, Manhunter was based on this book. Michael Mann directed (love Mann movies). I recall reading somewhere once of Stephen King - a typically and not always kindly outspoken opinionist - commenting that Harris could tell a darn good story, but he was a lousy writer.
