I really enjoyed this! Each chapter is a different fable from a different corner of Africa. They are strange and unique, and beautifully told. An underrated gem.

Such a fresh, different set of fables. I need to read this again to soak in all the new flavours.

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of nine stories. Kojo has gone to great lengths to celebrate African stories and picked up his tales from Libya, Madagascar, Angola and Mauritius whilst also ensuring that he note the Zulu, Akan and Igbo cultures among others. The stories themselves are very well written and lend themselves to be both read out loud and in silence.
