I really enjoyed this! Each chapter is a different fable from a different corner of Africa. They are strange and unique, and beautifully told. An underrated gem.

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of nine stories. Kojo has gone to great lengths to celebrate African stories and picked up his tales from Libya, Madagascar, Angola and Mauritius whilst also ensuring that he note the Zulu, Akan and Igbo cultures among others. The stories themselves are very well written and lend themselves to be both read out loud and in silence. Personally, I would learn them in order to tell them in my own words but there is no denying that care and great thought has gone ...
