A Slow Burn That Fizzled OutThe setup for *Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives* was definitely intriguing, but honestly, I found the book itself pretty tedious and repetitive. I had a tough time staying invested. The problem? The writing just felt flat. It kept going over the same ground, and the story never really picked up speed. Christine Brown Woolley revisits the same topics so often that the whole thing loses its punch. A good edit to tighten things up would have made a huge difference...

If you thought Kody was bad on the show, just wait until you read *Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives*... I’m so glad Christine and the other wives (except Robyn) are free from him. There’s a ton of background info that really puts things into perspective, and I kept thinking, "Oh no, he didn’t!" This man is unbelievable!! This memoir was fantastic. The audiobook completely held my attention, and I love that it's narrated by Christine Brown Woolley herself. It’s obvious Christine could hav...

I've recently decided not to rate memoirs anymore (who am I to judge someone's personal story?!), but I really enjoyed "Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives" and devoured it in just a few hours. It's written in Christine Brown Woolley's own voice, so ghostwriter or not, it genuinely sounds just like her! I don't think there were many untold stories here, especially since Christine has already filled us in on so much since divorcing Kody. She's also remarkably diplomatic with Robyn and Meri i...

I adore reality television. Do you think I'm vapid?? You're probably right. But for me, an introvert and chronic people-watcher by nature, the drama and non-interactive spectacle of shamelessness on display make for perfect background noise when I grade or work on academic writing. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s toxic and can be harmful. But (as I learned from a reality television episode recently) over 200 Americans die each year from toaster-related accidents, and that hasn’t stopped my bedt...

Christine Brown from Sister Wives chronicles her early life, her marriage to Kody, her true feelings about Robyn, and her personal evolution over the past two decades in "Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives". Some have said that aside from the shocking details about their sex life, the book isn't particularly captivating. However, I valued learning more about her childhood, her bond with her mother, her experiences with alcohol and pain medication to suppress her emotions, and Kody's persis...

Imagine fumbling THIS QUEEN. Seriously. Christine Brown Woolley's "Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives" is less a book and more a manifesto. It's a raw, honest, and unapologetically *real* account of a woman reclaiming her life, her happiness, and her damn self-worth after years of, let's be honest, utter bullshit. This isn't just a "tell-all" about leaving a polygamist marriage; it's a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit. If you're looking for inspirational memoirs...

The tea is overflowing from Utah this morning, y'all. Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives has been out for roughly 9 hours as I write this, and already people on Reddit are complaining that it doesn't have any "gotcha!" moments. But I'm not sure these people and I are reading the same thing... because there are some definite zingers in here. (They're all spoilers, so forgive me if I'm vague.) If you're looking for honest celebrity memoirs, give this a read!If you're a "Sister Wives" watcher...

Obsessed doesn't even begin to cover how quickly I devoured "Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives" once it arrived. I'm talking less than 24 hours! Christine is so generous sharing her experiences, while still being respectful of her sister wives' stories. With love and her strong friendship with Janelle by her side, she was ready to tell her story. And I was absolutely ready to read every single word. If you're looking for a juicy celebrity memoir or a compelling read about leaving polygamy...

If I didn’t already despise Kody in seasons 1 through 19, I absolutely detest him now after reading "Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives" by Christine Brown Woolley! This book review comes with a strong recommendation to anyone who's followed the show or is interested in stories of personal empowerment and leaving toxic relationships.

I've been a fan of the show since day one. I feel like I know this family, and watching Christine's journey has been truly inspiring. I loved hearing her insights and her honest pouring out of her truth. I devoured "Becoming Christine: Leaving Sister Wives" in record time. I really hope Janelle writes a book too! But mostly, I’m just so glad these women found their peace away from a seriously toxic man. If you're looking for inspiring celebrity memoirs, I highly recommend Christine Brown Woolley...
